Roles and Responsibilities.
- Direct and oversee electrical projects at construction sites, resolve issues and ensure work is completed according to contract specifications.
- Conduct testing and maintenance on electrical systems, including final inspections prior to job completion.
- Work with designers to incorporate electrical elements, determine specifications and prepare blueprints.
- Supervise daily activities, clarify power requirements, contract specifications and electrical codes and guide workers throughout the construction process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical systems during construction.
- Estimate labour and material costs and prepare manpower and timeline forecasts during the construction planning phase.
- Manage construction schedules by coordinating with planners and contractors to ensure milestones are achieved on time, avoiding delays and maintaining project profitability.
- Lead and manage electrical contractors and subcontractors, overseeing system testing throughout the construction process.
- Involve in installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of 66kV substations, including switchgear, transformers and protection systems.
- Review contractors work to ensure compliance with local electrical codes, contract specifications, safe operation of devices and accuracy of power delivery.
Qualification Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Preferred Skills
- 7 years of relevant working experience, including hands-on experience in 66kV substation projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
