Project Engineer - Data Centre

Operations & Service Management

• Support day-to-day project planning, coordination, and execution of engineering activities.
• Monitor site progress and track performance against schedule, quality, and deliverables.
• Assist in managing site activities, including coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction works.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports and technical records.
• Support preparation of weekly progress updates and presentations to clients.

Strategic Planning & Development

• Assist in developing project methodologies, installation procedures, and work instructions.
• Support planning of project schedules, resource allocation, and sequencing of works.
• Contribute to tender activities, including preparation of technical submissions, scope reviews, and specifications.
• Assist in evaluating project requirements and identifying potential risks or constraints during planning stages.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, site personnel, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide guidance to junior staff or site teams where required.
• Foster a collaborative and professional working environment across all project stakeholders.

Budget & Financial Control

• Monitor project progress in relation to budget and highlight potential cost impacts.
• Assist in tracking project costs, variations, and additional works.
• Support the Manager in cost control measures and budget reporting.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project requirements.
• Coordinate and follow up with trade contractors on deliverables, timelines, and quality of work.
• Review submissions from contractors (e.g., method statements, technical documents) for compliance.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all works comply with EHS and QA/QC standards and project specifications.
• Review Method Statements and Risk Assessments to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce site safety procedures and report any unsafe practices or non-compliance.
• Assist in identifying, documenting, and escalating project risks, issues, and scope changes.
• Maintain proper safety documentation as part of project records.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to improve work processes, site coordination, and project efficiency.
• Support implementation of best practices in engineering and project execution.
• Contribute ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and safety performance.
• Stay updated with industry standards, technologies, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Candidates must have permanent work rights in Singapore with no employment restrictions
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a data centre environment
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in facilities management, M&E systems, operations, or project management will be an advantage
