Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the execution of construction projects. The role involves close coordination with the Project Manager, contractors, and consultants to ensure works are carried out according to schedule, specifications, and safety standards. The successful candidate will be primarily based on-site to oversee daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects
- Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and records
- Support in scheduling, material submission, and procurement coordination
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance
- Identify and resolve technical and site issues in a timely manner
- Track project progress and report updates to the Project Manager
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and assist in cost control
- Liaise with relevant authorities where required
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering projects
- Familiar with construction processes, drawings, and site coordination
- Ability to work on-site and manage multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in handling on-site construction activities
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and safety standards
Working Conditions:
- Primarily site-based role
- May require travel between project sites
- Occasional extended hours depending on project requirements
