Job Summary
Lead and oversee construction projects to successful completion by directing Project Managers, managing budgets and risks, and building strong client relationships. Drive strategic decisions and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery aligned with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Report project status and progress directly to the Executive Director to align on strategic objectives
- Lead and oversee Project Managers to ensure construction projects are completed on time and within budget
- Make strategic decisions and provide clear leadership to Project Managers to implement project plans effectively
- Conduct meetings with clients, stakeholders, and Project Managers to communicate project updates and resolve issues
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients to support project success and future collaboration
- Devise and implement cost-effective project plans to optimize resource use and meet project goals
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks proactively to prevent delays and protect company reputation
Required competencies and certifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate or equivalent (essential for effective project leadership and compliance)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Master's degree or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of working experience in construction sector
- Strong planning and organizational skills demonstrated through managing complex projects
- Proficient in budget management and financial oversight for projects
- Skilled in presentations, negotiations, and mentoring staff to enhance team performance
- Leadership and business management capabilities to drive project and team success
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management
- Self-motivated team player with initiative and accountability
