Job Description

About SAFEHOUSE

SAFEHOUSE is a digital mental health support community hosted on Discord, designed to provide youth aged 13-25 with a safe, anonymous space to connect, receive peer, befriender and professional support, as well as access to mental health resources. Operated by Limitless Singapore, SAFEHOUSE bridges the gap for young people who may not otherwise seek help through more traditional channels.

Role Overview

The SAFEHOUSE Programme Executive plays a key role in managing and growing the online community, supporting volunteers, and ensuring the platform remains a safe and engaging space for youth. This role involves a mix of digital engagement, volunteer management, outreach, and programme development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Server Engagement & Optimisation

. Monitor Discord channels to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

. Engage users during non-befriender hours and facilitate conversations.

. Enforce community guidelines and moderate interactions.

. Research and implement bots, games, and tools to enhance user experience.

. Make improvements based on user feedback and best practices.

2. Volunteer Management & Development

. Supervise befriender conversations.

. Provide guidance and feedback to support volunteer growth.

. Plan, develop and deliver training sessions for befrienders.

. Evaluate training effectiveness.

3. Event Planning & Community Engagement

. Organise monthly online events such as movie and game nights.

. Coordinate logistics and collaborate with volunteers for smooth execution.

4. Outreach, Education & Recruitment

. Conduct talks, workshops, and set up booths at schools and organisations.

. Develop outreach materials and promote SAFEHOUSE to youth and stakeholders.

5. Short-Term Mental Health Support

. Provide structured, text-based support sessions for users in need.

. Offer emotional support and basic coping strategies within a non-clinical scope.

6. Programme Monitoring & Evaluation

. Track engagement metrics and document incidents.

. Analyse trends and feedback to guide programme improvements and strategic planning.

This role may occasionally require work outside standard office hours, depending on operational needs.
