Stulz Asia Hub Pte Ltd was established in 2022 and serves as a regional hub for the APAC region supporting our partners and subsidiaries.
Position Summary
The Program / Project Manager will play a critical dual role within Stulz Asia Hub, combining handson project management of data center HVAC projects across APAC with the establishment and leadership of a regional Program Management platform. In the initial phase, the role will be evenly split between:
. Active project management (50%) for awarded strategic projects, and
. Program management (50%), focusing on process design, standardization, transparency, and scalability.
Over time, the role is expected to progressively shift towards program management, driving regional consistency through structured processes, standard tools, and automation to support Stulz's growing data center business in APAC and Oceania (excluding China and India)
Key Responsibilities
A. Program Management
a. Regionalizing the global Program Management tools in alignment with Stulz HQ to:
i. Track the status of all strategic projects across APAC
ii. Enable effective resource allocation
iii. Identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints at early project stages
b. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a Strategic Project Management Handbook for Stulz Asia Hub, initially focusing on:
i. Regional and global Colo & Cloud data center projects
ii. Alignment with Stulz HQ and global project governance frameworks
c. Drive standardization of project documentation and templates, in collaboration with:
i. Stulz HQ
ii. Global Cloud / Colo teams
iii. APAC subsidiaries and partners
d. Including but not limited to:
i. Drawing and documentation templates
ii. Method statements and Scope of Work (SoW) formats
iii. Handover documentation
iv. Training and commissioning documents
v. Servicing and maintenance templates
e. Define and embed best practice project governance, including reporting cadence, escalation models, and KPI tracking.
f. Support continuous improvement initiatives by embedding lessons learned, automation, and process optimization into the program framework.
B. Project Management
Project involvement begins post-award, once projects are handed over from Sales. Key responsibilities include:
a. Project setup and planning
i. Establish cross functional project teams (factory, Asia Hub, local entities, customer representatives)
ii. Define roles, responsibilities, milestones, risk assessments, and critical paths
b. Execution & coordination
i. Act as the primary coordination point for technical, commercial, and schedule related matters
ii. Proactively manage dependencies to prevent escalation and delays
c. Documentation & compliance
i. Ensure timely preparation, review, and submission of all required project documentation
d. Change & risk management
i. Lead and coordinate variation / change order requests
ii. Manage scope, cost, and timeline impacts in alignment with internal and customer stakeholders
e. Commissioning & issue resolution
i. Support troubleshooting and coordination during commissioning phases (L1-L5)
ii. Interface between customer, factory, and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
f. Post project optimization
i. Capture and disseminate project-based lessons learned across the region
ii. Identify recurring cost drivers, inefficiencies, and time-wasting elements
iii. Recommend and implement improvements for future projects
Qualifications and Skills
. Strong project and program management capability with a structured, processdriven mindset
. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across cultures and functions
. High level of analytical thinking and problemsolving, able to quickly identify root causes and critical issues
. Demonstrated managerial courage, able to challenge assumptions and state professional opinions in the longterm interest of the business
. Selfdriven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a matrixed regional environment
. Strong communication skills in English Mandarin is an advantage
. Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and common project management tools
. Comfortable working with technical documentation and engineeringdriven teams
. Willing and able to travel within APAC as required (approx. 10-20%)
Education / Experience
. Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred Electrical or related disciplines acceptable)
. 3-5 years of relevant working experience in:
o Project management of complex, technical projects
o M&E, HVAC, industrial, or infrastructure environments
. Prior exposure to data center projects or similarly complex, multi stakeholder projects is strongly preferred
. Experience with HVAC equipment is a clear advantage
. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an advantage
