Job Description:
The Program Manager is responsible for serving as primary customer interface responsible for coordinated and efficient and profitable execution and management of large multifaceted projects, including planning, budgeting, engineering, cost control, execution, and end of project evaluation and closure. The person assumes significant responsibility in business development as needed ensuring that current and future business is aligned with the Business Line Strategy. The Program Manager is accountable for ensuring the continuity of the business via project extensions and new projects. The Program Manager has accountability for the project's revenue and profitability results and develops best practices across SLB and Industry at a higher level. This Program Manager reports to DCN Business Manager.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Takes all necessary actions for the success of the projects, project operations, and activities
- Ensures safe operations, technical integrity, and high service quality
- Ensures effective communication with all parties involved in the project
- Act as main point of contact related to all project administration with the customer and maintain strong relationships with the relevant customers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure all projects are running in accordance with the contract requirements, Quality Management System, and Quality Assurance/Control Plan Plan, and Health Safety and Environment Represents SLB to the client
- Communicates with the client, region, Business Line to identify and pursue new opportunities
- Motivate and take accountability for actions taken and develop a positive and effective team working ethic
- Ensure launch meetings are organized guaranteeing that all requirements are completed in accordance with company procedure
- Ensuring that the project controls are implemented including contract management, claims management, risk management, and change management
- Maintains a current understanding of all regulations and issues affecting the operations
- Encourages commitment from all employees and sub-contractors working on the project
- Regularly holds management meetings with clients
- Promotes good relations with SLB, Third party suppliers and customers on a professional and social level
- Forecasts and plans project activities
- Ensures sufficient resources and training for employees, self
- Assists in preparation and review of operational programs
- Monitors and reviews project inventory, requirements, budgets, costs and revenues as well as project milestones and deliverables
- Identify and mitigate changes to project scopes via MOCs
- Provide updates and project forecasts for completion of project, cash milestones, margin, on time delivery, and resources
- Encourages collaboration between teams
- Recommends changes for improvements and report on all matters which affect company policies and procedures
- Acts as leader for all aspects and members of the project (Engineering, project services, manufacturing, etc.) keeping a regular agenda and communication
- All other duties as directed by the manager
Qualifications, Education and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- Master's degree in engineering and/or Project Management
- More than 7 Years working in Design Engineering capacity and more than 2+ additional years working in Project Management
- More than 2+ years working in Modular Data Infrastructure Products (Data Center or similar)
- Multi country exposure (Worked in US and in Overseas environments)
- More than 2+ years experience leading teams in a Manufacturing Environment with more than 500 personnel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quick response to changes
- Committed to making and communicating a positive change
- Exhibit problem solving skills
- Continuous process improvement mindset
- Preferred Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP, Lean Tools, and 5S)
