Job Duties:
Provide L2/L3 application and systems operational support for mission-critical banking applications in a 247 environment.
Act as the primary technical escalation point, working closely with functional support teams to resolve incidents and service requests.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, including automation, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
Support and execute complex operations such as disaster recovery planning (DRP), system migrations, major maintenance, and upgrades.
Improve system reliability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to reduce time-to-market and improve deployment quality.
Manage and standardize operational workflows, runbooks, and procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Maintain and enhance programmable scripts and code based on technical instructions and operating specifications.
Collaborate with development teams to bridge the gap between Dev and Ops, supporting DevOps and Agile practices.
Promote knowledge sharing through documentation, training sessions, and best-practice adoption across the team
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Analysis, or related disciplines.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux environments.
At least 3 years of experience in scripting languages such as Python and/or PowerShell.
Hands-on experience (minimum 2 years) with DevOps tools and technologies such as Ansible, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g. Control-M or equivalent).
Strong understanding of IT ecosystems, application architectures, and production environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ITIL, Agile, and Lean practices.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace is an advantage.
Experience in a banking or financial services environment is a plus.
Willingness and ability to work in rotational shifts and on-call support, including non-business hours and weekends, to support global operations
