Role SummarySupport business intelligence reporting platforms by investigating data issues, managing support requests, and ensuring accurate data interpretation. Work within a globally distributed team to provide continuous operational support across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support for reporting platforms by analyzing and resolving data-related queries and issues.
- Investigate data discrepancies, validate report accuracy, and identify root causes (e.g., data gaps, logic issues, or system defects).
- Monitor and manage incoming support requests through collaboration tools or ticketing systems, ensuring timely response and resolution.
- Handle both manual and automated support workflows, including exception handling when automation does not resolve requests.
- Explain data metrics, definitions, and reporting logic clearly to business users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data, engineering, product) to escalate and resolve system or data pipeline issues.
- Ensure smooth handover of tasks across teams in different time zones to maintain continuous support coverage.
- Maintain documentation of common issues, resolutions, and reporting logic.
Required Skills & Competencies- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to query and interpret data to identify issues and trends.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Business Objects, or similar).
- Effective communication skills to translate technical findings into business-friendly language.
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with support workflows, ticketing systems, or collaboration tools.
- Basic understanding of data pipelines and reporting systems.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in data reporting, business intelligence, or production support roles.
- Exposure to sales or performance reporting metrics is an advantage.
- Experience working in a global or distributed team environment is beneficial.
