The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all production activities to ensure efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. This role includes managing production teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and continuously optimizing processes to increase productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production activities, including assembly, testing, and First Article (FA) builds, ensuring smooth operations across the production line.
- Plan and organize production schedules, assign tasks and priorities, and allocate resources to meet production targets.
- Monitor production processes and equipment, ensuring that all work is carried out with maximum efficiency, while meeting quality and safety standards.
- Train, mentor, and provide feedback to production staff, including Production Leads, fostering growth and ensuring high performance.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules, deadlines, and quality requirements to meet customer demands and internal standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to maintain production flow.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and maximize productivity.
- Enforce and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment and minimizing accidents or injuries.
- Conduct regular inspections of production areas and equipment, identifying maintenance needs and ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products, collaborating with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
- Work closely with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve production issues and implement improvements.
- Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, improvement opportunities, and areas that need attention.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
- Clearly communicate production goals, expectations, and performance metrics to the production teams, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among all production staff.
- Lead and coach a team of over 50 Operators and Technicians, ensuring that all team members are motivated and well-supported to achieve production goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
