Responsibilities
- Oversee safety and discipline within the production area actively participate in and support Health and Safety initiatives such as DWB, BBS, and H&S meetings.
- Supervise daily operator activities in the workshop enforce discipline and maintain 6S standards in the production section.
- Organize production activities in alignment with the production plan and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Drive departmental performance to achieve key production KPIs, including but not limited to material accuracy, yield, efficiency, and productivity.
- Address production issues promptly and provide timely feedback to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other departments to investigate the root causes of product defects and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage resource allocation for production lines, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of production records, databases, and documentation.
- Propose continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce scrap and operational costs.
- Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Supervise assemblers and team leaders motivate, coach, and support team members to meet performance expectations.
- Actively participate in and encourage team involvement in company programs and initiatives.
Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within a high-volume operation.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead, motivate and manage a team of product builders.
- Proficient in using Microsoft office
- Able to perform night shifts.
