The Job
You will join the Manufacturing Section which is equipped with the latest manufacturing technology and advanced engineering control to plan, implement projects, diagnose and provide quality technical support to the production team so as to ensure smooth, efficient plant operation that achieve Health, Safety, and Environment (i.e. HSE), product quality and quantity objectives.
The Daily
- Generate and implement plant improvement and optimisation program/project in order to achieve section's production and quality objectives efficiently and effectively.
- Lead in all aspects of plant operation (May involve shift work) to meet HSE requirements and in accordance to the Company's policy and procedures.
- Provides technical support in process trouble shooting, process computer improvement and product quality problems.
- Plan and carry out trial production for product development in order to meet company's R&D objective.
- Register, request and schedule modification work to improve the efficiency of the plant.
The Essentials
- Possess Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent, preferably with 1 to 2 years of experience in petroleum, chemical or polymer industries.
- Have knowledge of process control and troubleshooting, hands on knowledge of plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Essential prerequisites include good analytical and technical report writing skills, ability to be a team player with leadership, initiative, drive & commitment, able to take pressure and able to communicate well with others.
- Willingness to work in shift when needs arise (i.e. Rotating AM and PM shifts, including weekends and Public Holiday).
