Job Description:
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop daily/weekly production plans based on the master casting schedule.
- Prepare mould readiness plans, reinforcement plans and resource allocation.
- Ensure drawing availability before production begins.
Technical Coordination
- Study construction drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
- Issue clear technical instructions to supervisors and workers.
- Coordinate with design/engineering team for drawing discrepancies or technical clarifications.
Mould & Production Preparation
- Check mould readiness: dimensions, cleanliness, inserts, lifting anchors, recesses.
- Ensure reinforcement, conduits, and embedment follow drawings and precast standards.
- Verify concrete grades, mix designs, and special requirements (e.g colour, finish)
Quality Assurance & Control
- Conduct in-process inspections for formwork, rebar, pre-pour and post-demould.
- Ensure compliance with QCP, specifications and dimensional tolerances.
- Manage NCRs, rework instructions, and root-cause analysis.
Productivity & Process Improvement
- Analyse cycle times and propose improvements to reduce downtime.
- Optimise workflow layout, mould usage, manpower, and material consumption.
- Drive new technologies, automation, or lean practices.
