Job Scope: Product Development Senior Executive (Health Supplements)
Position Summary
The Product Development Senior Executive is responsible for driving the growth and innovation of the company's health supplement portfolio in different markets across Asia. This role involves enhancing existing products and leading new product development initiatives that align with consumer needs, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The position requires close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and regional markets to ensure timely, compliant, and successful product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product development stream for both new and existing health supplement products, including reviewing and enhancing formulations to align with consumer preferences, market demands, and industry standards across the different market needs.
- Collaborate with external partners or ingredient suppliers to generate product concepts, contribute insights, and support formulation decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and build strong relationships with contract manufacturers (CMs) and ingredient suppliers.
- Act as a communication hub for regional markets, providing updates on key projects and ensuring alignment across markets.
- Monitor and explore emerging ingredients, formats, and packaging technologies to feed the innovation pipeline based on Asian consumer trends.
- Contribute to the development of new processes and ways of working to establish a highly innovative and efficient product development function.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and nutritional requirements across regional markets.
- Support Marketing and Sales teams with product knowledge, trend insights, and positioning strategies to develop educational and training contents.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Formulation Chemistry, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development within the nutrition or health supplements industry.
- Good understanding of the regulatory environment across Asia, with experience managing diverse requirements for scalable product launches.
- Proven track record in managing the product development cycle from concept and brief creation to formula development and launch.
- Ability to critically evaluate raw materials, assess specifications, and review samples for suitability.
- Hands-on experience working with contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Strong project management and organizational skills able to handle multiple projects effectively.
- Team player with the ability to build strong internal and external working relationships.
- Willingness to travel as required.
