Job Scope: Product Development Senior Executive (Health Supplements)
Position Summary
The Product Development Senior Executive is responsible for enhancing and expanding the company's health supplement portfolio. The role focuses on understanding market trends, engaging suppliers for insights on new ingredients and technologies, and proactively improving existing products to meet evolving customer needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Improvement & Innovation
Review and enhance existing product formulations to align with consumer needs, market demands, and industry best practices.
Source and evaluate new ingredients, technologies, and formulations from suppliers to drive product innovation. - Market Trend & Competitor Monitoring
Continuously track health and wellness industry trends, emerging ingredients, and regulatory developments.
Conduct competitor product benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities. - Supplier & Partner Management
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to stay informed on latest ingredient launches, scientific findings, and regulatory updates.
Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers on samples, technical information, and ingredient specifications. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and nutritional requirements.
Support Marketing and Sales teams with product knowledge, trends insights, and positioning strategies. - Project & Documentation Management
Manage product development timelines, documentation, and internal approvals for formulation changes or new launches.
Ensure proper handover and support for product launches, including technical data and ingredient information.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Pharmacy, Business, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in product development, nutrition, or health supplements industry.
- Strong knowledge of market trends, functional ingredients, and supplement regulations.
- Excellent communication and supplier management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
