Our client is a well-established, fast-growing consumer technology business, with products used at scale across multiple markets. As part of an ongoing investment in their legal function, they are looking to appoint a Product Counsel to support their product ecosystem.
This role sits close to the business and works in partnership with product, engineering, and commercial teams, providing legal support across the lifecycle of consumer-facing digital products.
You will advise on product design, launches, and enhancements, helping teams navigate regulatory and consumer risk while enabling commercial objectives in a pragmatic way.
Responsibilities of this Product Counsel – Technology / Consumer Technology:
- Provide legal advice on new and existing digital products and features, from early-stage development through to launch and iteration
- Advise on consumer protection, e-commerce, and technology-related regulatory issues across multiple jurisdictions
- Draft, review, and maintain product-related terms, policies, and platform documentation
- Partner closely with product, engineering, marketing, and commercial stakeholders to assess legal risk and provide practical solutions
- Track and interpret relevant regulatory developments and support implementation within the product roadmap
- Support broader commercial and operational initiatives connected to product growth
Requirements of this Product Counsel – Technology / Consumer Technology:
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 5–10+ years PQE
- Experience advising on technology-enabled or consumer-facing products, gained in-house and/or in private practice
- Strong understanding of consumer law and technology-related regulation
- Commercial, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing non-legal stakeholders
- Regional or multi-market exposure is advantageous
