Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary legal and compliance contact for the Korea business.
  • Review, structure, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including marketing, services, procurement, online promotional activities, publishing, production, cobranding, and licensing arrangements.
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, with particular focus on product safety, marketing, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct legal research and risk assessments, providing clear and practical guidance to internal stakeholders to mitigate legal and regulatory exposure.
  • Partner with Human Resources and external counsel on labor and employment matters in Korea.
  • Prepare legal reports, correspondence, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer, licensed to practice law in Korea.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in corporate/commercial law; inhouse experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on regulatory compliance, consumer protection, marketing, and employment matters in Korea.
  • Experience supporting ecommerce or consumerfacing businesses is highly desirable.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills.
  • Professionally fluent in Korean and English; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Highly organised, detailoriented, and able to operate independently with a strong sense of professional accountability.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fastmoving, highgrowth environment with changing priorities.
  • Collaborative, positive, and solutionsfocused approach with strong business judgment.
