About the Role
A globally respected pharmaceutical organization is seeking a skilled and resourceful Procurement Specialist to support site-level sourcing and purchasing operations. This role is key to ensuring procurement activities align with global strategies while maintaining compliance, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Contracting
- Execute source-to-contract processes for goods and services across assigned categories
- Support competitive bidding, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
- Implement preferred supplier networks and drive spend toward strategic vendors
Stakeholder & Supplier Engagement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and deliver effective sourcing solutions
- Maintain and optimize supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or service
Compliance & Systems
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Use procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) for requisitioning, approvals, and contract management
- Support sustainability and supplier diversity goals in procurement activities
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to procurement data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Assist in tracking procurement metrics and identifying opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
- 2-4 years of procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Familiarity with procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and risk management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
