Ability to negotiate for strategic partnership on support and pricing.
Source for office/manufacturing related raw materials/services quotes and knowledgeable in recommending similar type of materials/grades/composites.
Input and release PO to suppliers/vendors promptly.
Work with QA team for incoming specification to ensure PO is meeting the requirements needed.
Work with Planning team to avoid costly urgent and sudden shortage/ramp up of raw materials as well as urgent follow-up with vendors on critical parts required.
Follow up closely for all acknowledgements and delivery schedules.
Coordinate between Warehouse and Production Departments.
Manage and update prices in system.
Manage suppliers and their OTD performances (both delivery and quality) to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.
Optimize the purchasing volume to avoid additional premium / handling cost.
Monitor any potential slow moving stock which may lead to obsolescence and maintain optimal level of inventory according to usage demand.
Implement and monitor cost saving measurements with suppliers/vendors, source for alternate suppliers and cost reduction program.
Establish and negotiate for reliable and effective freight cost
Generate monthly report and analysis.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma or higher.
Preferably with Certificate in Purchasing and Negotiation.
Minimum 5 years purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding in ERP/MRP/SAP.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Purchasing & Negotiation skills. Analytical mind.
