Work week: 5-days 830am to 530pm
Location: West side (company transport is provided)
Job Description:
- Ability to negotiate for strategic partnership on support and pricing.
- Source for office/manufacturing related raw materials/services quotes and knowledgeable in recommending similar type of materials/grades/composites.
- Input and release PO to suppliers/vendors promptly.
- Work with QA team for incoming specification to ensure PO is meeting the requirements needed.
- Work with Planning team to avoid costly urgent and sudden shortage/ramp up of raw materials as well as urgent follow-up with vendors on critical parts required.
- Follow up closely for all acknowledgements and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate between Warehouse and Production Departments.
- Manage and update prices in system.
- Manage suppliers and their OTD performances (both delivery and quality) to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.
- Optimize the purchasing volume to avoid additional premium / handling cost.
- Monitor any potential slow moving stock which may lead to obsolescence and maintain optimal level of inventory according to usage demand.
- Implement and monitor cost saving measurements with suppliers/vendors, source for alternate suppliers and cost reduction program.
- Establish and negotiate for reliable and effective freight cost
- Generate monthly report and analysis.
Requirement:
1) Minimum Diploma or higher.
2) Preferably with Certificate in Purchasing and Negotiation.
3 )Minimum 5 years purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
4) Basic understanding in ERP/MRP/SAP.
5) Proficient in Microsoft Office. Purchasing & Negotiation skills. Analytical mind.
