Job Summary
You will be deployed to an MOE affiliated school.
Responsibilities
- Printing and duplicating of approved notes, circulars, pamphlets, test/examination papers for the school
- Lamination, binding and sorting services
- Collection and distribution of printed materials/ materials to be printed
- Supports Examination Committee in the printing, collation, movement and safekeeping of examination papers under the prevailing tightened measures (The Printing Assistant is expected to sign the Undertaking to Safeguard Official Information)
- Maintains proper records for printing and duplicating works
- Maintains proper records for printing room equipments and consumables
- Accounts for the daily use of all equipments and related consumables under the charge of the Printing Room
- Basic day-to-day maintenance of all equipments under the charge of the Printing Room, including heavy duty printing machines
- Coordinates with the respective lessor(s) of the School's printing equipments for general and specific maintenance matters (currently there is only one lessor with two machines)
- Supports for General School Administrative
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls and visitors
- Documents filing, sorting, collation, recording, scanning, shredding and internal dispatch
- Mail room support
- Simple data entry using computer
- Logistic support for school events and meetings
Requirements
- Secondary school education or equivalent
- At least two years of relevant working experience, preferably in school or similar setting
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent communication, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
- Carry out simple mathematical operations able to work independently
- Experienced in handling heavy duty printing machines and performing basic day-to-day troubleshooring of printing machines
- Possess skills and basic trouble shooting knowledge in operating touch screen enabled heavy duty printing equipment
- Physically fit to manage large printing volume
- Customer service skills including handling incoming and outgoing calls and visitors
- Possess interpersonal skills to work with school stakeholders across different levels
Additional Details
- Work Area: Jurong East / Jurong West
- Working Schedule:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 30 minutes lunch break
- Rest Days: No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
- Contract Period: 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026, with the option to extend for another 2 more years, subject to the school's approval.
