Job Description

Position: Printing Assistant

Contract Details

  • Contract Period: 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027
  • Option to Extend:
  • The contract may be extended based on performance and school requirements. Any extension will be at the full discretion of the Authority and subject to the same terms and conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Working Hours

  • Mondays to Thursdays: 8:00 AM 5:15 PM (inclusive of 0.75-hour lunch break)
  • Fridays: 8:00 AM 4:45 PM (inclusive of 0.75-hour lunch break)
  • No service required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays

Scope of Services / Key Responsibilities

The Printing Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform bulk printing and duplicating using in-house photocopier machines
  • Carry out finishing work such as stapling, hole-punching, collating by class, and saddle-stitching
  • Support the Examination Committee in the printing, collation, movement, and safekeeping of examination papers in accordance with strict security measures
  • Ensure printouts accurately match printing requests
  • Complete printing jobs accurately and within required timelines
  • Maintain and manage stationery inventory in the printing room
  • Liaise with printer vendors regarding machine consumables
  • Provide support to the school front office during peak periods (e.g., recess time and dismissal) and perform basic administrative duties
  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Preferably possess GCE N Level certificate or above
  • Preferably have at least 1 year of relevant working experience in MOE mainstream schools
  • Able to handle printing equipment and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Organized, reliable, and able to work under time-sensitive situations

Deployment & Replacement of Personnel

  • Deployment of personnel is subject to prior approval by the Authority
  • The deployed personnel shall provide services throughout the full contract duration upon approval

Leave Entitlement

  • The Contractor may propose paid Vacation Leave (VL) and Ordinary Sick Leave (OSL), with costs included in the contract price
  • Any other forms of leave (e.g., hospitalization, childcare, maternity leave) shall be borne by the Contractor
  • All VL and OSL requests are subject to approval by the Authority

Replacement of Personnel

  • Permanent Replacement:
  • If personnel are deemed unsuitable, under-performing, resign, or are terminated, a suitable replacement must be provided within
  • 14 working days
  • at no additional cost
  • Temporary Replacement:

If personnel are absent due to legally mandated leave, a temporary replacement must be provided upon request and subject to Authority approval, at no additional cost
