As an Asia Treasury Operations Associate in the Prime Financial Services Clearing team, you will ensure exchange margin requirements and intercompany funding are met accurately and promptly to support our obligations as a clearing member. You will focus on listed derivatives exchanges globally, supporting a wide range of operational activities from the Singapore Regional Operations Centre. You will work in a control-focused environment where accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication matter. You will embrace automation tools and financial technology developments to improve process delivery. You will contribute to expanding client offerings by supporting the onboarding of new exchanges.
Job responsibilities
. Serve as a point of contact for the group from an Asia Pacific strategic standpoint
. Process funding requirements and margin calls accurately and promptly at the exchange and internally
. Execute foreign exchange transactions for restricted currencies accurately and on time
. Escalate issues using appropriate escalation procedures when needed
. Review production output with a control and risk awareness mindset
. Evaluate processes regularly and recommend efficiency and control improvements where possible
. Maintain procedures so they are up to date and easily accessible
. Respond to adhoc requests and queries appropriately
. Stay up to date with automation tools and deploy them where applicable
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline
. At least 7 years of experience in Banking Operations within Commercial and Investment Banks
. Knowledge of futures and options
. Client-focused approach and strong customer care practices
. Flexibility in working hours to meet workplace demands
. Curiosity for process improvement and a positive change mindset
. Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure
. Strong time management to meet internal and external deadlines
. Strong computer skills and an appetite to learn and deploy new technologies to automate or streamline workflows
. Excellent attention to detail
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
. Market and product knowledge of Asia Pacific markets
. Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin to liaise with regional team members and clients based in China
