Playbased preschool in Serangoon/Lorong Chuan looking for Preschool Cook & Cleaner
- Daily cooking for children 18 months to 6 years old, and for staff as well
- Prepares and cooks nutritious meals to food safety standards
- Takes charge of ordering rations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas
- Perform cleaning duties including classrooms, common areas, and toilets
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
- Assist with ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Clean and maintain classrooms to safe hygiene standards suitable for young children
- Sanitize surfaces and contents throughout the school to reduce health risks
- Clean and maintain toilets and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Manage prompt disposal of waste to maintain a clean environment
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks around the school compound to support smooth operations
- Clean kitchen areas as needed to maintain hygiene standards
- Adapt to weekly large-scale messy play activities by managing cleanup efficiently
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working in preschools or schools, preferably with exposure to young children
- Experience in cooking, preferably in a childcare or institutional setting
- Demonstrated responsibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work 9-hour shifts with flexible start times (7am-4pm, 7.30am-4.30pm, or 8am-5pm)
- Comfortable working in environments with frequent mess due to play activities
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices, including valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1
