We're looking for an experienced Presales Engineer to partner with sales and help customers design high-performance data solutions. You'll be the technical voice in client conversations, translating business needs into architectures built on DDN, WekaIO, and VAST Data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with prospects and map requirements to DDN, Weka, and VAST Data solutions
- Design solution architectures (AI/ML, HPC, media, analytics workloads) and validate sizing/performance
- Deliver product demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical workshops
- Prepare bills of materials, pricing, and configuration guides
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with technical sections and architecture diagrams
- Stay current on storage, file systems, and AI data pipeline trends provide feedback to product teams
- Collaborate with sales, implementation, and support to ensure smooth handover
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in presales, solutions engineering, or storage architecture
- Hands-on experience with DDN (EXAScaler, AI400X2), WekaIO (WekaFS), and VAST Data
- Strong understanding of high-performance storage, NVMe, parallel file systems, networking (InfiniBand/Ethernet)
- Experience with AI/ML, HPC, or data-intensive workloads
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications from DDN, Weka, or VAST Data
- Familiarity with cloud storage (AWS FSx, Azure NetApp Files) and container ecosystems (Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of data lifecycle, tiering, and data management best practices
