Quayside Isle Preparatory School (QuIPS), established in 2013, is a boutique preschool for children aged 18 months to 7 years old. Located in the unique environment of Sentosa Cove, our students are immersed in nature and the outdoors as part of their everyday learning experince.
QuIPS is registered under ECDA and delivers a thoughtfully designed curriculum that combines the UK core and International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC). Mandarin is integrated across all age groups, supporting a seamless and engaging bilingual approach.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Literacy, Numeracy and IEYC/IPC
- Create a dynamic and stimulating classroom environment that supports inquiry, creativity and independent learning
- Lead and manage the classroom effectively, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment
- Develop strategies and provide learning opportunities for all students
- Monitor, access and support each student's developmental progress
- Conduct regular meetings with your co-teacher to support planning, assessment, and classroom practice
- Build strong, professional relationships with parents through regular and consistent communication
- Develop outdoor learning experiences for students that are in-line with the curriculum
- Communicate clearly and professionally with all members of staff, children and parents and,
- Uphold all school policies and contribute to positive and collaborative school culture
Performance Assessment Criteria
The Lead Teacher is accessed on the following key competencies:
1. Building Professional Capacity:
- Relevant Early Childhood qualifications (L1/L2)
- Proven experience leading a preschool classroom
- Demonstrates reliability and professionalism as a collaborative team member
- Mentors and support colleagues to enhance teaching practices and performance
- Contributes to culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Develops team capability through guidance, coaching and constructive feedback
- Applies critical thinking and reflective practice in decision-making
2. Communication:
- Holds a strong proficiency in spoken and written English
- Communicates clearly, professionally and effectively with colleagues, students, parents and external stakeholders
- Builds positive relationships through respectful and purposeful interactions
3. Organisational Alignment and Leadership:
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures and professional standards, including confidentiality
- Promotes a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence in managing self and others
- Exercise sound judgement and problem-solving in a supervisory capacity
- Works closely with the Director of Learning and Senior Lead to align classroom practices with the School's vision, mission and values
