Overview:
At Kaira Technologies, we are expanding our Pro AV business and looking for someone who can handle both solution design and real-world deployment.
The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in designing, configuring, and supporting ProAV and AV-over-IP systems. Hands-on expertise with managed switches and a solid understanding of network infrastructure tailored for professional audio-visual environments will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy AV-over-IP systems for corporate, live event, or broadcast environments
- Configure and optimize managed switches for multicast AV traffic (e.g., VLANs, IGMP Snooping, QoS)
- Collaborate with AV designers, system integrators, and IT teams to ensure seamless system performance
- Troubleshoot network and AV system issues, including latency, packet loss, and synchronization problems
- Perform firmware updates, system monitoring, and preventive maintenance on network equipment
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Provide on-site and remote technical support during installations and live operations
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Pro AV environments with AV-over-IP systems
- Good working knowledge of NETGEAR managed switches
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, multicast, routing, QoS)
- Experience with AV protocols such as Dante, NDI, AES67, or IPMX (SMPTE 2110)
Preferred Qualifications:
- NETGEAR AV certification or similar networking certifications (e.g., CCNA)
- Familiarity with fiber networking and structured cabling systems
- Experience with control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
