Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop intuitive, user-friendly Power BI dashboards based on stakeholder requirements.
- Collaborate with business users and the Commercial Planning Manager to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Work closely with data engineers to acquire and integrate transformed data from the internal Azure SQL Data Warehouse and external Excel sources.
- Perform data transformation and cleansing using Power Query and DAX to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Revamp existing dashboards to enhance performance, usability, and visual clarity.
- Implement user access controls based on provided flowcharts and user matrices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data models.
- Document report logic, data models, workflows, and processes for maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Prepare weekly progress reports and escalate risks or blockers as needed.
- Stay current with the latest Power BI features, trends, and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the reporting and analytics workflow.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development with a strong portfolio of dashboards.
- Proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
- Experience working with Azure SQL and Excel-based data sources.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UX design for dashboards.
- Ability to manage client relationships professionally and communicate effectively in English.
- Experience in business analysis to evaluate feasibility and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Streamlit.
- Familiarity with Web Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Exposure to other forms of development (e.g., scripting, automation, or web development).
