Platform (PaaS/CaaS) Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Ang Mo Kio, Singapore

Experience Required: 3+ years

This role manages and operates platform services in a tenant environment above the hypervisor level, ensuring reliability, security, and operability of container platforms and COTS components (MongoDB, Nginx, MQTT, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, and others).

Key Responsibilities

•    Manage, monitor, and maintain platform services including container platforms, middleware, databases, messaging systems, and supporting runtime components

•    Support Day 2 operations, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem management

•    Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade operating systems (RHEL, Windows Server) and platform software

•    Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and service optimization

•    Support backup, recovery, and restoration for platform components and COTS products

•    Ensure service availability across Development, Test, Staging, and Production environments

•    Install, configure, patch, and maintain container platforms/runtimes (Kubernetes, Podman, Docker) and enterprise COTS solutions (MongoDB, MSSQL, NGINX, Apache HTTPD, IBM MQ, MQTT Brokers, Kafka, ArcGIS, Keycloak)

•    Perform infrastructure security hardening based on CIS benchmarks and Singapore Government security standards; manage access controls

•    Support IT governance, audit, and regulatory compliance; participate in disaster recovery planning and testing

•    Collaborate with Application, DevOps, and Security Engineers, and AFE teams to resolve platform issues

•    Support onboarding and integration of new applications and platform services

•    Test, stage, and deploy platform patches, middleware upgrades, and version upgrades; ensure operational readiness and rollback plans

•    Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability solutions; analyze performance trends to identify capacity or reliability risks

•    Maintain SOPs, infrastructure diagrams, maintenance logs, and change records; identify automation and reliability improvement opportunities

Requirements

•    Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

•    Relevant certifications preferred (MongoDB Administrator, RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP)

•    At least 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure administration and support

•    Strong knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL, VMware, and enterprise hardware (servers, storage, networking)

•    Hands-on experience with backup/recovery tools, firewalls, and system monitoring platforms

•    Familiarity with container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes), DevOps tools (Ansible, GitLab), and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)

•    Experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise COTS products (MongoDB, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, CI/CD platforms, etc.)

•    Working knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, change, and problem management)

•    Experience in pre-sales or tender preparation is an added advantage
