Platform Infrastructure Engineer (PaaS/CaaS)

Role Overview

As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the health, security, and scalability of our container platforms and middleware ecosystem. You will serve as a key bridge between infrastructure operations and application development, ensuring seamless service delivery across Development, Staging, and Production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Operations: Manage, monitor, and maintain container platforms (Kubernetes, Podman, Docker) and essential middleware.
• System Administration: Install, configure, and patch RHEL and Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and capacity planning.
• COTS Management: Support the lifecycle of enterprise software including MongoDB, NGINX, IBM MQ, Kafka, Keycloak, and ArcGIS.
• Security & Compliance: Perform infrastructure hardening based on CIS benchmarks and Singapore Government security standards.
• Observability: Implement and maintain monitoring/logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure proactive incident response and service reliability.
• Collaboration: Partner with DevOps and Security teams to support CI/CD pipelines, disaster recovery planning, and infrastructure automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in enterprise infrastructure administration and support.
• Core Technical Skills:
• OS: Strong proficiency in RHEL (Red Hat) and Windows Server.
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker.
• Middleware/COTS: Experience supporting MongoDB, NGINX, Apache, IBM MQ, or similar enterprise stacks.
• Automation/DevOps: Familiarity with Ansible, GitLab, or shell scripting.
• Monitoring: Experience with tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical/troubleshooting mindset, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
• Citizenship:Must be a Singaporean Citizen (required for project security clearance).
• Certifications: RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, or MongoDB Administrator certifications are highly preferred.
