We are partnering with a leading organisation to hire a Platform Operation Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with strong infrastructure operations experience who enjoys working across enterprise ICT environments to ensure service continuity, performance, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver enterprise-level infrastructure services (network, servers, backup systems, desktops) to support business-critical functions.
- Manage data centre and server room operations, ensuring reliability and availability of key infrastructure components.
- Execute new initiatives and enhancements, leveraging network and server technologies to improve operations and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outsourced vendors to plan, manage, and deliver infrastructure service projects.
- Contribute to infrastructure design and solutioning, ensuring scalability and alignment with current and future needs.
- Oversee infrastructure service monitoring and maintenance, coordinating with providers to resolve incidents and implement improvements.
- Manage the full procurement cycle, including budgeting, specifications, vendor evaluation, and invoice verification.
- Prepare budget forecasts and track expenditure utilisation.
- Act as point-of-contact for infrastructure matters on new projects and initiatives.
- Support governance and architecture review processes, ensuring operational sustainability and compliance with resiliency requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise ICT infrastructure services.
- Strong technical knowledge of network and server technologies, with additional exposure to infrastructure security.
- Hands-on experience in data centre operations, vendor management, networking, and infrastructure services.
- Familiarity with ICT governance processes will be an advantage.
- Proactive, organised, and resourceful professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
