Role Purpose

The Pet Groomer plays a vital role in ensuring the overall well-being of pets. The groomer is responsible for creating a safe and comfortable environment for them, while also educating pet owners on proper care and maintenance. By enhancing the pets appearance and promoting good hygiene, the Pet Groomer contributes to their happiness and the satisfaction of their owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including, bathing, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning and trimming
• Assess pets grooming needs and recommend appropriate services
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming sessions
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area and tools
• Communicate effectively with the pet owners about grooming procedures and aftercare
• Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere for both pets and their owner
• Possess a strong sense of teamwork

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pet grooming preferred
• Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and a LOVE for animals
• Ability to handle pets safely and confidently
• Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus
