Job Summary
You will deliver professional grooming services for dogs and cats, ensuring their health and comfort while maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will engage with clients to address their pets needs and contribute to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive grooming services for dogs and cats, including bathing, drying, brushing, trimming, and clipping fur to meet breed-specific standards
- Inspect pets for skin or coat conditions and promptly communicate any concerns to owners or veterinarians to ensure timely care
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the grooming workspace and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Address client concerns and requests effectively to provide a positive customer experience and build trust
- Apply diverse grooming techniques tailored to different breeds to achieve high-quality grooming outcomes
- Monitor pet behavior and health indicators during grooming sessions to identify signs of distress or illness and respond appropriately
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to manage grooming schedules and deliver consistent service quality
Required competencies and certifications
- Certification from a recognized grooming program
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in grooming dogs and cats
- Knowledge of pet health and behavior, particularly signs of distress or illness
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and team members
- Demonstrated passion for animals and commitment to their well-being
