Paws N Claws Veterinary Surgery is an established Fear-Free concept clinic, currently expanding and recruiting passionate and experienced Pet Groomers to join our growing team across both locations.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent veterinary care in a supportive and professional working environment, touching the lives of both our patients and clients. As a veterinary clinic, we work closely as a team to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare, safety, and low-stress handling.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated groomer who is confident working in a veterinary environment. This role goes beyond routine grooming and includes exposure to medical grooming and sedated grooming cases, working closely with our veterinarians and nurses.
This is an excellent opportunity for groomers who want to expand their skills and work on more complex cases.
Full grooming services (bath, blow-dry, clipping, scissoring, styling)
Breed-standard cuts and customised styling
Handling and restraining pets using low-stress techniques
Medical grooming (severely matted coats, skin conditions, elderly pets, special-needs pets)
Assisting with and performing sedated grooming cases under veterinary supervision
Monitoring and reporting abnormalities (skin issues, lumps, parasites, wounds) to the veterinary team
Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and hygiene care
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of grooming equipment and work area
Managing grooming schedules and clear communication with clients
Providing after-groom care advice to owners
Full-time position
Rotated between our locations but mainly in Yishun Branch
4 shifts per week (10am - 11pm) with 2.5-hour break
Able to work on weekends
Grooming experience is required
Minimum 1-2 years of professional grooming experience preferred
Experience in handling difficult, anxious, or aggressive pets
Comfortable performing or assisting with medical and sedated grooming
Grooming certification is an advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Possess drive, initiative, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passionate about animal welfare and Fear-Free handling
Remuneration based on skill, experience, and potential
Mentorship and guidance within a veterinary setting
