Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Operations & Compliance:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws.
- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory contributions, social security requirements, and labor laws in each country.
- Partner with local payroll vendors and internal HR/Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll execution.
- Handle multi-currency payroll processing and manage exchange rate fluctuations.
- Conduct payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audits accurately and on time.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage third-party payroll vendors and evaluate service levels to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Tax teams to align payroll processes with company policies.
- Serve as the key point of contact for payroll escalations, issue resolution, and compliance updates.
Process Improvement & System Optimization:
- Identify and implement payroll process automation and efficiency improvements.
- Optimize payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Deel) for scalability, accuracy, and compliance.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) for payroll analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate payroll records in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Compliance Audits:
- Ensure payroll tax filings, year-end reporting, and statutory declarations are completed on time.
- Support internal and external audits by providing payroll data and documentation.
- Maintain data integrity and compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, PDPA, CCPA).
