Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly driven Payment Operations Manager to design, implement, and manage end-to-end payment and operational workflows. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Sales, Compliance, and external partners, ensuring scalable, compliant, and well-documented payment operations across markets. The ideal candidate has strong experience in workflow design, operational execution, and stakeholder coordination.

Job Responsibilities:

Workflow Design

  • Design and implement new product, settlement and operational flows (eg. escrow, conditional release, settlement workflows).
  • Implement operational controls in line with internal SOPs and regulatory standards

Documentation & Process Enablement

  • Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, client/partner flowcharts, and FAQ sheets.
  • Support partner onboarding by preparing operational write-ups and flow diagrams.

Operational Execution

  • Coordinate with Compliance to ensure workflows meet KYC/AML standards, transaction monitoring requirements, and internal policies.
  • Implement internal controls to support compliant and secure operations (e.g. transaction thresholds, manual review triggers).

Bank and Partner Support

  • Manage onboarding process and prepare relevant due diligence documents for bank and partner onboarding (KYC/KYB, product write-ups, flow diagrams)
  • Coordinate and respond to queries from external stakeholders (eg. bank, partners) and internal stakeholders (eg. legal and compliance) clearly and promptly

Reporting & Controls

  • Maintain oversight of payment flows and escalate red flags to the compliance team promptly

Job Requirements:

  • At least 4 8+ years of experience in payment operations, program management, payment, fintech or regulated financial services.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing payment, settlement, or fund flow workflows.
  • Strong understanding of KYC/AML principles, transaction monitoring, and operational controls.
  • Experience working with banks, payment partners, or financial institutions on onboarding and due diligence processes.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working with Product, Sales, Compliance, Legal, and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex workflows clearly.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
