Job Description

Patient Service Associate (Inpatient Ward)

Fast‑Paced | Frontline Care | Meaningful Work

About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and service‑oriented Patient Service Associate (PSA) to join our inpatient ward team. This role sits at the heart of ward operations and plays a critical part in ensuring patients, families, nurses, and doctors experience smooth, timely, and professional support throughout a patient's stay.

If you thrive in a busy environment, are comfortable multitasking, and take pride in staying calm, focused, and professional even when demands come rapidly, this role will suit you well.

Why This Role Matters

  • You are often the first and constant point of contact for patients and families
  • Your efficiency directly supports nurses and doctors to focus on clinical care
  • Your work ensures accurate admissions, timely discharges, and proper records

This is a role for someone who values purposeful work, understands the importance of details, and finds satisfaction in helping others—even on challenging days.

What You'll Be Doing

Frontline Patient & Ward Support

  • Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures accurately and promptly
  • Handle appointment scheduling and administrative coordination
  • Maintain and update patient records using hospital systems with high accuracy
  • Respond to ward requests from nurses and doctors, often concurrently, while staying focused and composed

Operational Excellence

  • Multi‑task across systems, phone calls, walk‑in queries, and urgent ward requests
  • Work confidently with computers and clinical support systems
  • Support smooth ward operations in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment

This role requires working 2 shifts, including weekends, and being comfortable in an environment where interruptions are frequent and priorities can change quickly.

Who Will Thrive In This Role

You'll do well if you:

  • Enjoy structured work but can adapt quickly when situations change
  • Take pride in being reliable, professional, and supportive
  • Value teamwork and understand the pressures of a hospital environment

Requirements

  • Diploma in any discipline or GCE A / O Level or Higher NITEC (Business Studies) or NITEC (Service Skills)
  • Comfortable multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced setting
  • Strong interpersonal and numeracy skills
  • Computer‑savvy and confident working with multiple systems
  • Team player with a service‑oriented mindset

Who This Role Is Ideal For

  • Individuals who enjoy structured, meaningful frontline work
  • Candidates considering a long‑term career in healthcare support
  • Those who take pride in staying professional under pressure
  • People who want to contribute directly to patient care, even without a clinical role
