1. Main Responsibilities
Cleaning dishes and utensils
- Hand-wash and clean plates, glasses, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Remove food scraps and grease before washing.
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants.
Drying and storing
- Dry cleaned dishes and utensils using cloths or drying racks.
- Organize and store items in designated areas.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene
- Keep the dishwashing area, sinks, and worktables clean.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., Singapore NEA standards).
- Properly dispose of food waste and manage trash bins.
Handling cleaning supplies and equipment
- Safely use dishwashing liquid, disinfectants, and degreasers.
- Operate simple kitchen equipment such as dish brushes or dryers.
Assisting with kitchen tasks (if required)
- Help with food preparation (e.g., peeling, basic cutting).
- Assist in cleaning kitchen floors and worktables.
2. Job Requirements
- No formal education required, but relevant experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and hot environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry heavy items.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety rules.
