Role
End-to-end execution of dry bulk commodity trades, ensuring contractual compliance, smooth shipment operations, accurate cashflow management, and timely receivables.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute bulk commodity shipments in line with sales & purchase contracts
- Review contracts, manage vessel nominations, port agents, and shipment execution
- Prepare, verify, and manage Letters of Credit (UCP600) and shipping documents
- Coordinate with banks, customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Track vessel movements, quality/quantity, B/Ls, and shipment status
- Calculate and manage laytime, demurrage, and dispatch
- Monitor receivables, payables, cashflow, and month-end closing
- Support Front Office on contract risk and credit limit monitoring
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in dry bulk commodities (metals preferred)
- Strong LC, bulk shipping (FOB/CFR), laycan, and demurrage knowledge
- Solid understanding of contracts, trade risk, and international trade flows
- Proficient in commodities trading systems
