Job Description: The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the metal recycling facility, ensuring efficient and safe processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The role involves managing the workforce, coordinating with the maintenance team, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations, including the sorting, processing, and packaging of scrap metal.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage logistics for the incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of the operations team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the metal recycling or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of metal recycling processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
