Operations Manager

1. Role Description
This position reports to the Director and oversees the overall operational performance of renovation, construction, and manufacturing activities. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient project execution, resource optimisation, quality control, cost management, and operational excellence across all departments.

2. Specific Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership

1. Oversee day-to-day operations across projects, sites, and manufacturing activities
2. Develop, implement, and improve operational processes and SOPs
3. Ensure smooth coordination between project, site, procurement, and production teams

• Project & Resource Management

1. Oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
2. Monitor project progress, cost control, manpower utilisation, and productivity
3. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Manufacturing & Supply Chain Oversight

1. Oversee wood manufacturing operations, production schedules, and quality standards
2. Coordinate procurement, inventory control, and supplier management
3. Ensure timely availability of materials and components for project execution

• Quality, Safety & Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies
2. Implement quality assurance and quality control measures across projects and production
3. Conduct operational audits and corrective action planning

• People & Performance Management

1. Lead, mentor, and evaluate site teams, project staff, and operational personnel
2. Set KPIs and performance benchmarks for operational teams
3. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

• Management Reporting

1. Prepare operational reports on project performance, costs, timelines, and risks
2. Provide Director with insights, recommendations, and improvement strategies
