Job Description

The Construction Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves coordinating multiple project teams, managing resources, and maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion
  • Coordinate site operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines implement corrective actions when needed
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements (e.g., MOM, BCA guidelines)
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Lead and supervise site managers, engineers, and workers
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for project updates
  • Prepare reports on project performance, costs, and progress

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction/project management
  • Proven experience managing large-scale or multiple construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards in Singapore
  • Experience in manpower planning and subcontractor management
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
