Job Description
We are a locally established aluminium and glass company providing fabrication and installation services for residential and commercial projects. We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee production, site operations, and project coordination.
This role is suitable for experienced candidates as well as mid-career individuals transitioning into the building and construction industry, with structured on-the-job familiarisation provided.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Project Coordination
- Oversee daily operations across fabrication and installation teams
- Plan and manage project schedules from order confirmation to completion
- Allocate manpower and resources across multiple projects
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required
Production Management
- Supervise fabrication processes for aluminium and glass products
- Ensure work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of materials
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce wastage
Site & Installation Management
- Supervise installation teams and coordinate site activities
- Liaise with main contractors, site supervisors, and clients
- Ensure works are completed according to specifications and project timelines
- Resolve site coordination and technical issues
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with sales and design teams for project handover and execution
- Attend coordination meetings and provide operational updates
- Ensure clear communication between departments
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and safety requirements
- Conduct basic inspections and support quality control processes
- Promote safe work practices across factory and site operations
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Maintain basic operational records, schedules, and reports
- Track project timelines, manpower utilisation, and operational efficiency
- Provide updates to management on project status and issues
Training & Development
- On-the-job training provided in: Company products and fabrication processes, Project coordination workflows, Internal systems and reporting processes
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Building, Construction, or related field
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in construction, fabrication, or operations roles
- Open to mid-career switchers with transferable project or operations experience
- Basic understanding of project coordination and scheduling
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in English Mandarin is an advantage for coordination with stakeholders
Employment Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Work Location: Office / Factory with site visits
- Local candidates (Singapore Citizens / PRs) preferred
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: SGD 4,000 - 5,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Performance bonus subject to company and individual performance
- Transport allowance or support for site visits
