The Operations Driver Supervisor oversees daily transport operations and supervises drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery and transportation services. The role involves coordinating schedules, monitoring driver performance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting smooth operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Driver Supervision, Operations Coordination
- Supervise and manage daily activities of drivers.
- Monitor driver attendance, punctuality, and discipline.
- Conduct driver briefings, training, and safety meetings.
- Ensure drivers comply with company SOPs, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Handle driver issues, disputes, and performance evaluations.
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery or transport schedules.
- Assign routes and vehicles efficiently.
- Monitor real-time operations and resolve delivery or transport issues promptly.
- Coordinate with dispatch and customer service teams.
- Ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assignments.
Customer's Car/Fleet & Safety Management
- Monitor and manage company fleet and customers vehicles to ensure proper handling and operational readiness.
- Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and maintained according to service schedules and company standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure defects or damages are reported and resolved promptly.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, insurance renewals, inspections, and maintenance records.
- Supervise the safe movement, parking, collection, and delivery of customers vehicles.
- Ensure proper documentation and handover procedures for customers vehicles.
- Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure drivers follow safety procedures, traffic regulations, and company SOPs when handling company and customers vehicles.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, damages, customer complaints, or traffic violations and prepare detailed reports.
- Promote safe driving practices and conduct regular safety briefings and training for drivers.
- Ensure compliance with local transport regulations, workplace safety standards, and operational policies.
- Coordinate emergency response, breakdown assistance, and incident management when required.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain records of deliveries, fuel usage, mileage, and driver performance.
- Prepare operational and performance reports for management.
- Track KPIs such as on-time delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum GCE O Level, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
At least 2-3 years of experience in transport, logistics, fleet, or operations environment.
Prior experience supervising Operations drivers preferred.
Valid Class 3/3A driving license (Singapore) preferred.
Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with Singapore routes, road regulations, and traffic conditions.
Familiarity with safety regulations and transport compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and handle operational issues under pressure.
Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office and fleet/operations systems
