Job Description

Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking an Operations Change Consultant to support a major transformation program within its investment operations division. This role offers the opportunity to drive process improvements, strengthen operational controls, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the business, service providers, and third parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support large-scale transformation projects to build future-state processes and workflows.
  • Review and refine current investment operations processes in line with the future operating model.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to strengthen end-to-end controls, including vendor integrations.
  • Conduct impact assessments, comparing current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes, systems, and structures.
  • Identify risks, propose solutions, and implement new controls to ensure robust processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions, driving consensus and sign-offs.
  • Collaborate with external service providers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure alignment.
  • Support project governance including reporting, risk tracking, and change management activities.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry, operating models, and terminology.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, comfortable working with portfolio managers, dealers, and operations staff.
  • Proven project coordination and change management expertise with strong attention to detail.
  • Risk and controloriented mindset, capable of driving efficient and effective outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years in the asset management industry with solid investment operations experience.
  • At least 3 years experience in leading or supporting change/transformation initiatives.
  • Exposure across key asset classes (derivatives, fixed income, equities).
  • Good understanding of middle and back-office outsourcing models.
  • Familiarity with BlackRock Aladdin is advantageous.
