Operation Executive (Logistics) | Up to $4000 | West | Near MRT Station

Position : Executive, Operations

Salary : Up to $4,000

Working Day / Time : Mon to Thu: 830am to 6pm Friday: 830am to 530pm Alt Sat: 830am to 1230pm

Location : Gul Circle ( Walking distance from MRT station)

Purpose

This role is responsible for planning and implementing warehouse secondary processes. He/she is also responsible to meet daily objectives and ensure quality service delivery. Being meticulous and focused, he/she works closely with operation team, customer service team, vendors and contractors to deliver results.

Critical Work Functions & Key Tasks

Warehouse Operations

. Manage planning methods and warehouse storage plan

. Communicate information for order initiation, to receiving, handling, distribution and storage

. Execute operational plans in accordance to warehousing standards, policies and procedures

. Maintain quality standards (e.g. 5S+1, customer requirements, etc.)

. Execute resource plans within business activities (e.g. equipment, manpower, etc.)

. Coordinate resolution of facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems breakdown to minimize downtime

. Manage teams at work (e.g. overtime, resource planning, performance management, misconducts, on/off-boarding, etc.)

. Conduct learning activities periodically (e.g. refresher training, on-job training, training documentation, etc.)

Cargo / Material Handling & Delivery Operations

. Plan inbound, storage and outbound operations in compliance to prioritisation as well as operator variations

. Manage and monitor cargo handling operations

. Manage cargo consolidation plans to save space and cost

. Investigate into service level failures (e.g. short ship, cross ship, inventory discrepancies, quality, etc.)

Business Continuous Improvement

. Plan continuous improvement activities and performance improvement strategies

. Evaluate operational productivity and/or gaps to propose improvement

. Execute solution implementation by operationalising plans and measure performance

Safety & Health Operations

. Manage teams compliance to safety policies, standards and procedures

. Participate in solutioning discussions around suggestions to improve existing safety processes

. Participate in Gemba Walks periodically to identify safety risks/hazards

. Perform safety briefings / sharing and influence reporting of safety risks / hazards

Technology Application Activities

. Operate systems, technology and electronic tools deployed (e.g. RF handheld device, WMS, etc.)

. Perform corrective action plan to mitigate systematic performance and/or malfunctions

Business Activities

. Interface with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, vendors, contractors, etc.)

. Early identification and analysis for potential operational issues and escalate timely should higher level support and resources are required for mitigation

. Maintain data integrity for operational documentation and take responsibility of billing activities within operations
