1. Job description
- Assist in planning, developing and implementing programmes according to the needs of the elderly (eg. proper documentation and resident safety in line with SOP).
- Provide administrative work and reports for the unit and review information materials for distribution.
- Network and liaise with relevant agencies and organisations regarding the welfare of the elderly.
- Review programmes to ensure relevance and effectiveness in meeting the needs of all residents.
- Assist in planning outings for the residents and seeking relevant programme fundings for the home.
- Establish collaboration and liaise with external stakeholders such as corporate /institutional and grassroot organisations etc.) in the development of programmes.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to create holistic programmes and maintain good communication and feedback with residents and sponsors.
- Provide assistance to plan, budget and organize the volunteer programmes/services.
- Administer and monitor expenditures for the volunteer program against approved budget.
- Procure consumables and supplies as required with proper monitoring of budget allocated.
- Assist to conduct on-going evaluation of the programme and services delivered by volunteers and implement improvements when necessary.
- Assist to develop, administer and record forms to document the volunteer activities and implement effective strategies to recruit the right volunteers with the right skills.
- Assist to record and implement a screening process for potential volunteers according to the screening standards and practices.
- Oriented volunteers to increase their understanding of the organisation, its elderly, its services and role and responsibilities of volunteers.
- Support all PERTAPIS programmes and activities as assigned by the management.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the HOH.
2. Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma/Degree qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Pleasant and outgoing personality, strong written & oral communication skills.
- Experience working in non profit organisations and managing events preferred.
