Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist / Physiotherapist role based in Singapore. The role involves assessing residents functional abilities, mobility, and cognitive status, and developing individualized rehabilitation and therapy plans to support safe, dignified, and independent living. Daily tasks include conducting therapy sessions, prescribing and supervising exercises, facilitating activities of daily living training, and recommending assistive devices or environmental modifications. The therapist collaborates closely with nursing staff, social workers, and other care professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care, and provides education to residents and caregivers on safe movement, fall prevention, and pain management. The role also includes documenting assessments and progress, participating in case discussions, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and supporting group activities that promote physical activity and social engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, with experience in rehabilitation for older adults.
• Relevant knowledge in Medicine and Rehabilitation principles to manage age-related conditions safely and effectively.
• Effective Communication skills to work with residents, families, and a multidisciplinary care team.
• Experience or exposure in Pediatrics is an advantage for understanding lifespan development and functional changes.
• Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, with eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body in Singapore.
• Prior experience in geriatric, community, or long-term care settings is highly beneficial.
• Ability to assess risk, plan safe interventions, and adapt therapy to cognitive or physical limitations.
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to person-centered care, with cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Strong documentation, time management, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.
