Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a collaborative rehabilitation team as an Occupational Therapist, providing essential treatment and care to clients. Contribute to meaningful recovery by developing personalized care plans and implementing effective therapy programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized care plans and treatment goals tailored to each client. Deliver occupational therapy services for patients in inpatient wards. Design and execute therapy programs for individuals with varying conditions, including dementia, psychiatric illnesses, musculoskeletal, and neurological disorders. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss client progress and collaborative approaches with team members. Oversee the work of Therapy Assistants and volunteers contributing to therapy sessions. Supervise Occupational Therapists under conditional registration. Facilitate training sessions for Therapy Assistants and caregivers. Engage in training and educational initiatives related to occupational therapy for the team. Involved in quality improvement or research projects aimed at enhancing therapy practices.

Requirements

  • Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy. Full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council is mandatory. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field is preferred. Passion for working with elderly patients, particularly those facing neurological, musculoskeletal, or mental health issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
