Nurse Manager - IVF / Fertility Centre

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily nursing operations of the IVF/Fertility Centre, ensuring high standards of patient care, clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The role involves managing nursing staff, coordinating patient care throughout fertility treatment cycles, supporting physicians during procedures, and ensuring a compassionate and supportive environment for patients undergoing fertility treatments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing team operations within the IVF/Fertility Centre to maintain clinical excellence and operational efficiency
• Coordinate patient care across consultation, treatment, procedures, and follow-up stages to ensure seamless service delivery
• Support physicians during fertility procedures including egg retrieval, embryo transfer, intrauterine insemination (IUI), and minor surgeries to facilitate successful outcomes
• Monitor patient treatment cycles, medication administration, and deliver patient education to promote adherence and understanding
• Ensure strict compliance with infection control, medication safety, and clinical protocols to uphold patient safety
• Lead, supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and clinic coordinators to enhance team performance and professional development
• Plan staff rosters, allocate manpower, and optimize workflow efficiency to meet clinical demands
• Conduct orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training for nursing staff to maintain high clinical standards
• Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care within the nursing team
• Provide counselling, emotional support, and education to patients undergoing fertility treatments to improve patient experience
• Address patient concerns promptly to ensure high standards of patient satisfaction and service excellence
• Ensure accurate documentation, consent-taking, and confidentiality of patient records in compliance with regulations
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health (MOH) regulations, licensing requirements, and clinic policies to maintain accreditation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, incident reporting, and risk management activities to enhance clinical quality
• Develop and review nursing standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and clinical guidelines to support best practices
• Monitor inventory and procurement of medical supplies, medications, and consumables to ensure resource availability
• Coordinate with laboratory, pharmacy, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless clinical operations
• Prepare operational reports and support management in strategic planning and service development to drive centre growth

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Nurse with valid nursing license
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Advanced Nursing qualification
• Minimum 5-8 years of nursing experience, including 2-3 years in supervisory or managerial roles
• Experience in IVF, fertility, women's health, obstetrics & gynecology, or reproductive medicine
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Experience with fertility treatment coordination and patient counselling
• Knowledge of IVF regulatory standards and clinical workflows
• Ability to manage sensitive patient situations with empathy and professionalism
